NRP Finans has arranged 90 shipping projects with a gross value of in excess of USD 2.6 bn. The current portfolio consists of 34 vessels in 22 projects with a gross value of approximately USD 575 mill. Since start up in 2001 the NRP Shipping portfolio has yielded a return of 21% p.a.

A large proportion of the current portfolio are financial shipping projects in which the vessels are fixed on long term bareboat charterparties to ship owners and charterers. A typical project ranges from 5 to 10 years. NRP Finans also arranges opportunistic projects with higher risk, but also higher expected returns given that parameters and timing is correct. NRP has completed projects within most shipping segments, as well as off-shore - the quality of the counterpart is more important than segment.
